This webinar is part 2 of 2 in the bone health series.
Each year, 37 million fragility fractures occur globally in adults aged 55+, with most caused by falls—over 95% of hip fractures alone result from a fall. These incidents often lead to loss of independence, diminished quality of life, and increased mortality. While falls have many causes, medication use is a key, modifiable risk factor. Pharmacy professionals play a vital role in fall prevention through targeted medication reviews.
This webinar aims to equip pharmacy professionals with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to identify and reduce medication-related fall risks in older adults. Participants will gain insights into how medications contribute to falls, learn effective approaches for conducting medication reviews in at-risk patients, and understand key principles for optimising therapy to improve patient safety and outcomes.
Whether you’re a pharmacist or pharmacy technician in community, hospital, or primary care, this session will equip you with the tools and confidence to make a real difference in fall prevention.
