This webinar will take attendees on a practical walkthrough of implementing a pharmacy provision in the emergency department from the ground up— from starting out and defining clear aims to running pilot studies that test feasibility. The webinar explores service implementation, tailoring key performance metrices and benchmarking to shape best practice and demonstrate how to create impact through data, patient experience and stakeholder‑focused reporting that helped secure long‑term investment for the service.

Aim

The aim of this webinar is to give participants the essential knowledge and practical steps to design, pilot, benchmark, and evidence an effective clinical pharmacy service that clearly demonstrates value to stakeholders.

Target audience

This webinar is aimed at hospital pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with an interest in developing, implementing, or evaluating clinical pharmacy services within the emergency department.

Learning outcomes

After this webinar, attendees should be able to:

• Explain the key steps involved in establishing a pharmacy provision within an emergency department
• Describe how to design and evaluate pilot studies, including benchmarking against other trusts
• Discuss effective methods for presenting outcomes and demonstrating service impact to key stakeholders
