About this event

This webinar will explore the recognition and management of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a severe and often underdiagnosed condition affecting mental health and daily functioning. Drawing on clinical expertise and lived experience, the session will highlight the pharmacist’s role in improving diagnosis, supporting patients, and reducing health inequalities.

Aim

The aim of this webinar is to equip pharmacists with the knowledge to differentiate PMDD from premenstrual syndrome, understand its biopsychosocial impact, and apply evidence-based management strategies, including lifestyle, pharmacological, and hormonal interventions.

Target audience

This session is designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across hospital, general practice, community, and academic settings who wish to enhance their knowledge of PMDD.

Learning outcomes

After this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Identify symptoms of PMS vs PMDD
  • Outline the management plan for women with PMDD
  • Identify and be able to sign post patients to available resources
