About this event

Since the prescribing components became mandatory under the General Pharmaceutical Council 2021 Initial Education and Training of Pharmacists (IETP) standards, pharmacy sectors have adopted varied approaches to implementation. The session will explore shared experiences, challenges, and good practice.

Aim

The aim of this webinar is to review and share learning from the first year of implementing prescribing learning in practice for trainee pharmacists across different pharmacy sectors, with a focus on challenges, successes and future development.

Target audience

This meeting is ideal for education programme leads, education programme directors, designated supervisors and designated prescribing practitioners supporting trainee pharmacists across all sectors.

Learning outcomes

After this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Share learning experiences and examples of good practice from the implementation of IETP standards across pharmacy sectors
  • Identify key challenges and enablers to successful implementation for future cohorts
