Online
This interactive online session brings together practitioners, researchers, and experts to explore why research matters and how to get started. The programme begins with an introduction to the value of research for practice and commissioning, alongside practical routes into research and addressing common myths. We will also introduce you to the work of the NIHR incubator for Pharmacy Professionals which aims to increase the capacity of pharmacy professionals working in all sectors to become involved in healthcare research, and the UK Pharmacy Research Advisory Group. We will then showcase some research projects through short presentations, and a Q&A to discuss insights and challenges. The session concludes with practical guidance on progressing research, including how to turn quality improvement projects into research. The event will also celebrate excellence through the announcement of the UKCPA Best Abstract Award 2025.
The aim of this webinar is to inspire and support practitioners at all stages of their research journey by showcasing current projects, sharing practical advice, and highlighting opportunities to take the next steps in developing research.
