This webinar is session 2 of 3 in the Optimising modern diabetes care: A clinical update for pharmacy series. The session will explore the latest updates to national NICE guidance on type 2 diabetes management and what they mean for clinical practice. Expert speakers will discuss the key recommendations from the updated NICE guidance, focusing on changes to pharmacological treatment pathways and the drive to provide more individualised and holistic care as we move further away from the solely glycaemic target focused approach to embrace CVRM care. The session will highlight the implications for prescribing, medicines optimisation, and how pharmacy teams can support implementation in everyday clinical settings.
The aim of this webinar is to strengthen attendees’ confidence and clinical capability in type 2 diabetes management by reviewing recent updates in NICE guidance and evaluating therapy intensification strategies to support individualised glycaemic control and reduce complications.
This webinar is aimed at pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across hospital and generalist settings seeking to enhance their confidence and clinical capability in generalist management of type 2 diabetes.
