About this event

This webinar focuses on the BAME population with type 2 diabetes and high CVD risk. It aims to provide strategic steps to setting up a pharmacist-led ‘one-stop clinic’ for these patient groups. The workshop will cover NICE guidelines, evidence-based practice, drug treatment and management, along with real life practice-based case studies for an interactive discussion. 

Aim

The aim of this session is to equip healthcare professionals with guidance on establishing pharmacist-led ‘one-stop clinics’ for BAME patients with type 2 diabetes and high cardiovascular risk.

Target audience

This webinar is designed for healthcare professionals involved or with an interest in the management of patients with type 2 diabetes and high cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) populations.

Learning outcomes

After this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Describe the unique healthcare needs and risks faced by BAME populations with type 2 diabetes and high cardiovascular risk.
  • Apply NICE guidelines and evidence-based strategies to develop and implement a pharmacist-led ‘one-stop clinic’ model.
  • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and manage complex patient cases through real-life, practice-based case studies and interactive discussions.
