This webinar will provide an overview of what a pharmacist needs to know in regarding to patients being admitted or under their care on biologics and DMARDs when used for non-transplant long-term immune conditions. The session will go through the importance of taking a drug history in patients with long-term immune conditions and how these drugs are provided to these patients. It will also cover important side effects of drugs that are commonly used to manage long-term conditions in dermatology, gastroenterology and rheumatology and how to manage these if suspected. We’ll also discuss useful information for patients on DMARDs and biologics for when they are discharged from secondary care.
The aim of this webinar is to provide attendees with what they need to know regarding patients being admitted or under their care on biologics and DMARDs when used for non-transplant long-term immune conditions.
This webinar is designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in hospital and generalist settings (including general practice and community pharmacy) who support the care of patients admitted on biologics and DMARDs for long-term, non-transplant immune conditions.
Registration will close at midnight on Sunday 11 April 2026 or earlier if maximum capacity is reached. Should this event not reach its minimum number, the UKCPA reserves the right to cancel the webinar.
