About this event

Pharmacy practitioners play a critical role in identifying and managing cardiovascular disease (CVD) and monitoring cholesterol-related risks.

During this session, we will share case studies that highlight common challenges and opportunities in managing lipids across community, primary care, and hospital settings. We will examine some of the conditions that increase CVD risk and discuss targets for lowering cholesterol.  We’ll also discuss when it is appropriate to use different cholesterol lowering therapies.

Aim

The aim of this webinar is to equip attendees with the knowledge and practical insights needed to effectively use lipid-lowering medications as part of cardiovascular risk reduction.

Target audience

This webinar is designed specifically for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who want to enhance their clinical impact in lipid management.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Name conditions that increase CVD risk
  • Discuss targets for lowering cholesterol
  • Identify when to use different cholesterol lowering therapies
