This webinar will provide an introduction to pharmacogenomics and give examples of how genetic variation impacts on drug therapeutics.
Our expert speakers will share their practice experience of how pharmacogenomics is already making an impact on how we treat patients in cardiomyopathy with the drug Mavacamten. The webinar will also explore the future role of genetic testing in lipid management.
The aim of this webinar is to equip pharmacists with the knowledge & skills to interpret genetic testing results, and to use this to optimise pharmaceutical care for patients. The webinar will provide examples of the application of pharmacogenomics into practice in lipid and cardiomyopathy care.
This webinar will be of particular benefit to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians from all settings who would like to learn about pharmacogenomics.
Pharmacists at early stages of their career will benefit from gaining an understanding on how pharmacogenomics affect their day-to-day care of patients who are taking medicines that require genetic testing and how to interpret these results. Advanced pharmacists can refresh their knowledge and use the experiences shared to implement practices and systems to facilitate the increasing advances in pharmacogenomics in clinical practice.
