Fragility fractures, often caused by minimal trauma, are common in older adults and can lead to long-term health decline. Hip fractures, in particular, raise mortality risk by 20–40% in the first year and often result in lasting loss of independence. This webinar, which is part one of a two-part series, explores bone health and highlights the pharmacist’s role in managing treatment post-fracture and in preventing future fractures through proactive care.
The aim of this webinar is to explore the impact of fragility fractures on older adults and highlight pharmacy’s role within the multidisciplinary team in promoting bone health, supporting post-fracture care, and implementing preventative strategies to reduce future fracture risk.
This webinar is designed for pharmacists across a range of practice settings, including secondary care, general practice, and community pharmacy.
