This webinar has been designed and will be delivered in partnership with APTUK. As healthcare systems evolve to meet increasing demand and complexity, the role of pharmacy technicians and support staff is expanding—bringing new opportunities to improve patient outcomes, enhance service delivery, and support multidisciplinary teams. This workshop will explore the latest developments in the scope of practice for pharmacy technicians and support staff, including real-world examples and practical strategies for implementation. Participants will examine how role expansion can drive innovation in care models, improve workflow efficiency, and free up clinical pharmacist capacity—ultimately leading to safer, more responsive, and patient-centred services. Whether you’re a technician, support staff member, service manager, or clinical leader, this session will provide insights and tools to help you adapt, influence change, and optimise the contribution of the entire pharmacy workforce.

Aim

The aim of this webinar is to examine how expanding the roles of pharmacy technicians and support staff can improve patient care, enhance service efficiency, and support evolving multidisciplinary models.
