About this event

This webinar will raise awareness among pharmacy professionals of the updated Position Statement on Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Genomic Testing and its relevance to pharmacy practice. The speaker will explore the key considerations when interpreting pharmacogenomic results obtained from DTC tests, and the range of services offered within the DTC genomic testing market. The session will also highlight trusted sources of further training and professional guidance, empowering pharmacists to confidently support patients.

Aim

The aim of this webinar is to raise awareness amongst pharmacy professionals of the updated Position Statement on Direct to Consumer Genomic Testing.

Target audience

This webinar is designed for hospital, academic, and generalist pharmacists, as well as pharmacy technicians. 

Learning outcomes

After this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Describe the key considerations when presented with pharmacogenomic results from a DTC test 
  • Describe the types of services offered by DTC genomic testing
  • Identify sources of further training, guidance, and professional support relating to DTC genomic testing and pharmacogenomics
