Overview
The Committee actively works to raise the profile and contribution of pharmacists within neurological services and their commissioning through engagement both within and outside of pharmacy.
They also provide contributions to Clinical Reference Groups and other working groups, and working with neurological charities and associations. They are committed to sharing their expertise through education and training in order to improve the care of neurological patients.
Achievements
Members of the Committee have contributed to the NHSE Immunoglobulin Working Group and have worked with the NHS England Neurosciences Clinical Reference Group which covers specialised neuroscience services and specialised adult neurosurgery.
The Committee have established links with key neurological charities to raise awareness of neurosciences pharmacists.
The Committee were involved in the MS Trust Forward View project, which identified the priority actions needed across the multiple sclerosis sector to enable services to deliver efficient, effective and equitable services for everyone with MS, in the context of changing treatment paradigms.
