UKCPA Care of Older People Community

Overview

The Care of Older People Community is a longstanding community within UKCPA. They have a wide scope of practice and, with an aging population, their input and influence into the pharmaceutical care of older patients is increasingly important and valuable.

The UKCPA Care of Older People Committee regularly share their expertise through UKCPA learning events on topics as variable as dementia, pain, polypharmacy, deprescribing and frailty.

For many years the Committee have been involved in several profession-wide initiatives, influencing practice all over the UK and internationally. Our Care of Older People experts were instrumental in pioneering the development of professional frameworks and resources to guide career advancement, including the professional curriculum in this area of practice.

We are looking for practitioner members who can comment on national consultations
