This day will cover:
- Pain mechanisms: presentation, pain types, bio-psychosocial models of pain.
- Acute pain in different settings: management, counselling, managing the interface.
- Living with pain: understanding the patient’s point of view.
- Persistent pain: counselling around safe medicines use and when to intervene.
This event is open to all pharmacy professionals working in any sector. Pharmacy technicians are particularly encouraged to attend as pain management is a growing area where technicians have a key role to play.
Attending this event will help you advance your professional practice and could be used as evidence in your RPS Faculty portfolio or APTUK Foundation Pharmacy Framework.
