Date: 05 – 06 September 2022

Venue: Les Pensières Center for Global Health, 74290 Veyrier-du-Lac, France

Organised by: European society of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases (ESCMID)

Overview: Although providing advice on the management of children with infections (both common and complex infections) falls within the routine workload of antimicrobial pharmacists and clinical microbiologists, there are many fundamental differences between adults and children that impact on decision making. Many clinical pharmacists and microbiologists feel less confident providing advice on children compared to adults, potentially resulting in unnecessary investigations, prolonged exposure to antimicrobials and diagnostic delays. This course aims to address some of these issues through a series of case-based interactive workshops. Active participation will be maintained through real-time voting. Attendance grants are available for ESCMID members
