This webinar will provide an overview of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales (CPE), their epidemiology and available treatment options. Join us as we discuss potential treatment strategies for empiric and targeted management of CPE infections and review the current licensed therapies available in the UK.

This event is ideal for Antimicrobial/Anti-infective pharmacists and clinicians working with CPE infections.

The aim of this webinar is to provide pharmacists and clinicians with a pragmatic and evidence-based options for the management of CPE infections.

After this webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the common β-lactamase classes (A, B and D) identified in CPE
  • Critique the evidence supporting the new novel antimicrobials with anti-CPE activity
  • Discuss the treatment options for CPE infections tailored to site of infection, severity and class of CPE pathogen
