Overview:
This webinar will cover the steps taken by HEE to establish a survey of the workforce and the NHS Genomics Medicine Unit and Genomics Medicine Service Alliances to start implementing genomic medicine across the UK. The webinar will also include a look forward to the role genomics will play in clinical pharmacy practice across pharmacy specialisms and the workforce requirements of this.
This webinar will take the form of an educational session focused on genomics and pharmacy.
It will be followed by a forum to focus on how the UKCPA genomics committee can support UKCPA members.
This webinar will be of particular interest to Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians across all specialist areas with an interest in genomics.
Aim and Learning outcomes:
The aim of the webinar is to provide an update to clinical pharmacists on the steps taken by the GMS Alliances in planning for widespread adoption of genomics in pharmacy practice.
