The UKCPA General Committee is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation. On the 1 January 2017 we welcomed a new member, Richard Wysocki.

Richard is currently the Medical Affairs Director at hameln pharmaceuticals ltd, and has worked in the hospital and community sectors as a practitioner previously in his career. He has been a member of UKCPA for many years and is particularly passionate about pharmacovigilence, palliative care and the safer labelling of medicines.

As a pharmacist, I am committed to achieving positive patient outcomes through effective joint working and interaction between the pharmacy profession and the pharmaceutical industry”, says Richard.

“My involvement with UKCPA goes back a long way, from attending conferences to judging poster presentations to now becoming a General Committee member. With a broad professional perspective and continuing enthusiasm, I look forward to contributing to the committee role and to being responsive to the needs of UKCPA, its members and clinical pharmacy throughout the UK".

We welcome Richard to the General Committee and very much look forward to working with him.

We said farewell to Kandarp Thakkar who stepped down from the General Committee and we thank him for all his input whilst in this role.

David Gibson and Mark Borthwick were re-elected onto the committee for a further three year term and we are very grateful for their ongoing commitment to UKCPA and the time and work it involves.
