Member benefits

Being a member of UKCPA means you are part of a community of like minded pharmacy professionals. Below are just some of the benefits you get from becoming a member.

Benefit from being part of our community

Access to online forums

Our members have access to online forums, a supportive and informative community of practitioners working in all areas of pharmacy across the UK and beyond. You can post a message, ask advice, respond to a query, upload a document to share, promote good practice, or share important information. Our online forums are viewed by our members as the most valuable benefit of their membership. Whilst our educational events provide face to face networking, the online forums allow members to continue to access that professional expertise and support throughout the year, wherever they are located geographically.

Reduced rates at UKCPA educational and learning events

Members are able to access our education and learning events at a discounted rate. We run a full programme of events throughout the year, including one day masterclasses, a foundation course, annual conference and webinars. Event materials and recordings of conference keynote talks are all made available to members.

Feedback on conference abstracts

We know how much time goes into preparing a conference abstract, which is why we offer our members extensive feedback from our conference abstract review panel. This expert peer feedback provides you with suggestions on how to improve your project and communication skills, and our panel will recommend ways in which you could take your work forward to continue its impact on patient care.

Quarterly newsletter

Our newsletter In Practice provides members with updates on topical clinical pharmacy issues, news and opinions from our experts in clinical pharmacy, and a round up of UKCPA activity and events. This is mailed to your postal address and is a great way for you to catch up with what your Association and your clinical pharmacy colleagues have been up to.

Awards programme

Our members have the exclusive ability to apply for several prestigious awards which offer peer recognition of excellence in clinical pharmacy practice. Winners are presented with their awards at one of our masterclasses or at our annual conference, and are invited to present a poster of their winning work at the annual conference. We also present awards at our annual conference for outstanding conference abstracts and posters.
