This is a new learning event, created and ran in partnership with The Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
The course will provide the following learning outcomes:
- Overview of basic microbiology, and principles of treatment of infection
- The ability to describe antimicrobial stewardship principles and strategies to promote appropriate antimicrobial use within different clinical settings
- Become more confident in applying stewardship principles when managing infections within your clinical setting
The course is limited to small numbers so there will be lots of interactive learning and networking opportunities.
This course is aimed at pharmacists working within community or at a band 6-7 level in a hospital or GP practice setting, although would still be beneficial for all pharmacists looking to increase their working knowledge of AMR.
Attending this event will help you advance your professional practice and could be used as evidence in your RPS Faculty and GPhC revalidation portfolios.
